I went to the Abbot Kinney Street Festival this past Sunday and it was amazing!  Tons of vendors with cool jewelry, accessories, vintage clothing and the latest food trend right now happens to be catering trucks, which were lined up on every side street.

As I was leaving, this stylist from took a picture of me with my old beat up Balenciaga bag and posted it on her website.  Who knew I was such a trend setter!

“To answer your question, it’s an emphatic no. Your Balenciaga will never be out of style, your jewelry was amazing and understated and the LV shades, a perfect style staple.”

Check out this website for the latest and greatest in style and fashion.  It’s AWESOME!

“My Sweet Savannah Guest Post featuring Janette Mallory”

Melaine Thompson of My Sweet Savannah posted a blog about me recently.  Here’s a glimpse of what she had to say…
“Do you recognize this handsome man?  If you guessed John Ondrasik with the group Five for Fighting you are right!  My friend Janette Mallory has just finished a interior design project on his family's home, and you get to see the photos here for the first time!  But before we get to that, I want to share a little bit about Janette with all of you.”

“Stand up to Cancer”

My clients  Ken Jeong and Tran Ho were featured in People Magazine’s current issue along with their twin daughters Zooey and Alexa telling their story about Tran’s battle with breast cancer.  Breast cancer is not just a woman’s issue—it affects all of us; the brothers, husbands, fathers, children and friends.  My father died of colon cancer 10 years ago so I was personally affected.  Ken and Tran are taking part in “Stand up to Cancer”, a fund raising special airing live September 10th on ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC and several cable channels.  Please tune in to watch, it’s for a good cause!!!  The more we participate the closer we come to finding a cure.

Princess Olivia

One of my client's has the cutest little girl who asked me to help her decorate her bedroom in their new house.  I always jump at the chance to do little girly stuff whenever I get the opportunity.  This was very exciting to me because there are only boys besides me in my house.  Naturally, I started showing her pink flowery fluffy stuff.  Well, this was not going to fly with her!  Olivia informed me that pink flowery fluffy stuff was too immature and babyish and that she would pick the colors.  So I handed over my paint deck to her and she choose the most beautiful robins egg blue paint color and for the fabrics she wanted to mix in lime green and a hint of yellow.  I love when my clients know what they want!!!!!  She is all of 9 years old, but going on 29, according to her mother.  So that's what we did and here it is!!!

I started with the accent fabrics that I found at Osborne & Little.  I love their fabrics and they just happened to have the perfect fabrics that matched our color pallet.  I searched high and low for the silk striped fabric for the bed canopy and ended up finding it at Calico Corners, after I searched every showroom at the Pacific Design Center.  You never know!
The bedding ensemble came from Bloomingdale's and Olga, who fabricates all my window treatments, made the bed skirt out of the same fabric as the lining for the canopy.
The butterfly bed accessories were selected by Olivia herself.

She's a doll and to top it off, Princess Olivia has the most amazing voice and plays the lead in all the musicals at her school.  Her dad is an extremely talented musician so the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.  If I'm lucky, I sometimes catch her at home and she's usually playing the piano.
